Steemit Classic: Westboro Baptist Church dude says "gays should be killed"
This is an old classic interview that I think Steemit might find interesting. This is Jonathan Phelps, the less well known but equally vile BROTHER of the well known Shirley Phelps-Roper of the Westboro Baptist Church. In this interview, he explained why -- in his opinion -- gays should be put to death. This was a view I didn't share with him, naturally.

I was taken back a little bit when Phelps said he was a lifelong Democrat. Never thought I would hear that from a Phelps' mouth based on traditional ideology of most Dems. I think Phelps should round up the gang and move to Iran where they are noted for Capital Punishment of homosexuals. Really pathetic people, imo

Her name is Megan Phelps Roper, the grand daughter of Fred Phelps. She was on the Joe Rogan podcast last year and talked about growing up in that family. She is one brave girl who took a gigantic risk; I mean she lost everything, including her mother and father, friends, money. The TED talk is good too. A lot of the kids are leaving that church.
Thanks. Good for her, my parents were not religious but their friends are and they used the Church and Church used my parents to do atrocity to people.

I don't wanna sound assaholic for saying this, but the only good point I can come up with is that these people will be dead soon.

It sounds like a sermon that would be delivered in Uganda, but it’s actually from the mouth of an American pastor in Arizona.
Conservative Christian Pastor Steven Anderson openly called for executing every gay person in America during a Sunday sermon at his church in Tempe, Arizona. He claimed from the pulpit that gays need to be put to death in the name of God by Christmas Day in an effort to wipe out AIDS, even though AIDS is not a virus exclusive to the LGBT community.

Currently in Indonesia there are many gay people hanging around, but the government has not taken a firm stance.
