What is IOTA?

IOTA Coin is a currency that has no transaction fees. When my friend first told me about this I didn't pay much attention because transaction fees with litecoin, ethereum and monero are so low already it's never stopped me from making a trade or not carrying out a transaction but when you think of the larger implications of having a free system the benefits become more obvious.

We are lucky to have a free internet that anyone can use. With six billion people in the world most don't have access to a bank account. Their biggest barrier to entry is the fact it cost money to open one or they require a minimum balance. With a free system anyone can have have an account and if a system like this was widely adopted it could replace cash.
