Yeah, I think Acrobatics (discard+card draw) worked well to cycle the good cards back into my hand quickly. And I think getting Beam Cell early was good, too, because zero-cost attacks are good with strength and applying vulnerability makes strength that much more effective with whatever else you attack with (and then once I got dead branch and mummified hand things got a bit crazier). My natural instinct is to dislike Acrobatics due to it costing 1 energy, but analytically I have to admit it works pretty well, especially if you have some extra energy like from the cursed key.
