Aquaponics Growing - Modified NFT setup in Texas (2010)
Continuing in the effort to upload my older YouTube videos.
This is one of the first projects (April 20, 2010) that got things stirring in my soul to make some changes in my life. This Aquaponics system was a fun experiment that taught me a lot about that cycle of fish feeding plants and in turn plants cleaning water for fish. It's a beautiful thing.
When we sold our house in suburbia the buyers asked that this system stay with the house. I was sad to let it got but it made the move a lot easier! Now we live on a beautiful farm and haven't ventured back into Aquaponics, but I do hope to someday.

That is so cool. I heard about aquaponics back in 2012 and have been intrigued by it since then. I hadn't seriously thought about building my own, but seeing yours makes me think I could do it. Maybe not now as it's below freezing, but someday. :)
There are much simpler systems than this, but it was just my initial attempt. I would strongly suggest following Rob Bob on Youtube to learn a lot about backyard AP. If you go over to his channel tell him that Daddykirbs sent you! https://www.youtube.com/user/bnbob01
