That's a very clear tutorial, @kimstar. These butterflies look beautiful as appliques, don't they?

I had a similar problem with the antennae so I made a little knot at the end of both bits of yarn at a suitable length and then cut them so that gives them a lovely end ... I also varied the shape of the lower wings by making a picot half way :D

Oh, I nearly forgot you could add the tag 'needlework' or 'crochet' :D
