Our 6 month old,bundle of love,Presa Canario puppy
Hi,guys!
This is not one of my usual posts but I really wanted you to met our baby boy and bundle of love,TANO.
Presa Canario is a mastiff breed from the Canary Islands and as you can see at 6 months old he is quite big and robust.At first,when we talked about getting a dog this breed was the last thing I wanted to bring home,I have to be honest and say that I found it ugly and aggresive.
One day,my fiance told me that he had some stuff to do and he will be home late and when he arrived home with this 1 month puppy in his arms I fell in love instantly,and from that day on Tano became the most important member of the family.
Presa Canario has traditionally been recognized by the distinctive look of their head,cropped ears are their trademark and this was one of the most difficult decision that we had to make regarding Tano.
We had already made the vet appointment,but after looong talks and really getting informed toward the matter,we decided that he is beautiful as God left him,and we love him just the way he is,with his floppy ears.
This is the reason why he is so cute right now:)
We are now in the procces of training him,we work with a trainer that understands this breed,and we do basic obedience stuff because,the second most important decision we made was to not do aggresion training with him.
The Presa Canario has a high prey drive and territorial nature so we don`t want to accentuate that,instead we want to leave him to be this loving and playful dog that he is.I never imagined that this breed could give soooooo much love back.
P.S: With this cutie you can`t dress nice because he is all over you when he wants to give you some love:))
