What it’s like to have… an Aquarius Sun:
• Deepest identity hinges on mental rigor; “honing” of mind
• Deep comprehension of the water element; how it aids in air element refinement
◦ Why are they the “water bear”? Because both water and air floooowwwww.
◦ Water can be “looked down” on by them; until they see a “good reason” to respect it, usually once they see how it can boost their intellect.
◦ A bad relationship with the water element can make for “psychological perverts”; like an evil scientist, or vivisectionist, who disregards the pain of their “subjects”. Gross. Don’t be like that.
◦ ...instead, “perv out” on your own chart’s water elements; respect emotions.
◦ Why? Because of CBT: Emotions affect Thoughts (which affect behavior which affect emotions). Don’t fuck around on that point: Aqua, let simple truths be true!
◦ Skill with emotion helps you go beyond mere “intelligence”; you become “smart” (add healthy fire, and you become “wise”; those that’s a topic for another day)
◦ What does that look like though? NLP A.F.; getting one’s fixed-sign way more easily (through skill with and respect for others’ emotions, using humor or pleasure to appeal more happily to another); getting into “coherence” between the heart (Leo) and the thought-driven mind.
• Sun in detriment here. Ask: “why in the hell did you as a higher being commit “identity suicide”? Is there a good reason to become the opposite of “royal” or “famous” etc.?
• “Friendliness” and “ego health” spectrum must be explored;
◦ Not a Leo, but…
◦ The impression of Leo (the sense of it) is there
◦ What to do with a “weak” ego (detriment)?
▪ Can this “retreat from the throne” help?
▪ Limitations help to hone!
▪ Consider: what talents does an Aqua sun possess… which admittedly never would have been achieved if they had the “easy fame” they wish for (and resent) that they believe Leo has? Ex: isolation as a driving pressure to create deep internal power (intelligence a la “book worm” habits; spiritual non-attachment to self; service to others a la “giving oneself away”)
◦ See “no self” spiritual teachings! Ya got no choice. :/
◦ The lessons of having the Moon’s Nodes in an Aqua-Leo axis are much more brutal; the Sun merely has to “contend” with these issues as it follows its bliss (bliss doesn’t hinge on axis mastery)
◦ Remember above all: both Leo and Aqua are considered very “friendly” signs.
◦ Also: You could not do what you need to do with the distraction of easy identity. You need to see “what’s wrong” with present cult(ure) so you can do something about it.
• What about Aqua “coldness”?
◦ Check fire signs; are the “action” needs of the body being ignored? Is the “egghead” routine not just being emphasized but retreated to? Remember: physical activity and spontaneity boost intelligence. Dogma is the enemy of intelligence as sure as stupidity.
◦ To loved ones: it’s only natural they have to go there; let it run its course. They have to depart from the pleasures of the “easy ego”, but therein is how members/cells of our collective one-mind discover the trappings of an over-easy ego. Respect a healthy drive for solitude.
◦ Consider: coldness may be their kindness when compared to the temptation to resentment and bitterness (they are not easily popular).
◦ Aqua Sun can seem to only be “accepted” by our cult(ure) if their “strangeness” is “marketable” or “amusing” to others. This creates the Aqua temptation to simply resent “their times” (since they are as Uranus, i.e., ahead of their times A.F.)
◦ Aqua has a deep mind that needs to “make up” for the failings of their Egos (they have a “detrimental ego”); let the “mad scientist” have their laboratory!!
◦ ...because if they don’t the kindness (self-quarantine) of their isolating nature turns to cruelty.
◦ Remember, coldness is not itself cruelty; respect a healthy Aqua’s need to be “cold” or “distant”--those may be your words for it. If they “go there” (grow distant), but work it out in their own way, and come back eventually to happily “bearing the water”… great! Leave it alone, they know what they’re doing (in this regard).
◦ When coldness slips into cruelty you have more than a right to ostracize them; that’s when such a “rod of ‘Dog’” is necessary to their growth.
◦ Please please please: only ostracize the Aqua from their rightful place as the 11th House domain when they go cruel; let the merely cold ones be, or you become a with-burner or scapegoater.
• Aquarius hates conformists and witch burners.
• ...because they value so much the worth-building potential of healthy solitude.
• Please don’t measure the Aquarius against societal measures; they are here because societal measures need to be subjugated to the True measures of the inherent worth of each being.
• If you can believe elements of society have become evil, you can appreciate the Aquarius “edginess”, however incapable of normalcy they may seem. If you can’t, you may in some ways need the Aquarius proclivity to “depants the king” in your life.
