Esteem is created by @good-karma. He is in the top 5 witnesses in steem blockchain.

Esteem application has both mobile and desktop versions.

The desktop version is called ''Esteem Surfer''.

The mobile version is called ''eSteem Mobile Legacy''.

Since both versions are created by the same team, I will review them both.

To login into @esteemapp product you need to use your posting key.

The posting key is used only to post and comment, so it will not give access to your wallet.

To find your posting key, click on your wallet in steemit :

Then click on ''permissions'' :

Then next to your posting key click on ''SHOW PRIVATE KEY''.

Since I'm mostly active in steem on my pc, I will start by reviewing the desktop version.

I don't like the fact that we can install the Surfer only from github. Not all the people understand what it is and they may not guess which file to choose from there to install. I know that we have to install the ''exe'' file. So, I have to explain that.

My suggestion is to make a direct clickable link that leads to ''exe'' file from the website.

To install the esteem surfer, you have to choose ''exe'' file in github as shown in the next picture :

The thing I like in the surfer is that it loads all the pages very fast. It has notifications about people who tag you, upvote you, comment you and resteem you.

But I also noticed that it doesn't show the first picture in my posts as a thumbnail, instead it shows the banner I put in the end of the post. Because of that I have to stop using my banner, but I prefer to use it.

I hope @esteemapp will fix that. Maybe the developers could take @dtube users into consideration so that esteem users are able to see dtubers' thumbnails as they're seem in steem.

As for the mobile version, I installed it several times and deleted, it was always laggy, especially with trending, hot and other pages. Maybe the android version is like that, but I never used the ios one.

The good thing about @esteemapp products is that if you create a posting using those apps, you may get a good upvote from them and from @good-karma as well.
