DTUBE: A GAME CHANGER OR JUST ANOTHER VIDEO PORN SITE?
I don't want to rain on your parade, my fellow Steemians. I get that we are excited about the birth of a blockchain-based video site. I am, too. I have a couple of videos I want to upload to dTube but something keeps me from doing so.
I noticed that dTube is being used as an avenue to promote and market hard-core porn from other websites. I am not being self-righteous here or what-not but if dTube will be used and abused for these kind of stuff, then this is no different from any other video streaming site. We have provided these porn materials a market where there are members that aren't supposed to see these materials.
I may be at the wrong side of things as far as blockchain, censorships, etc., are concerned but I do believe that dTube can be a better place than just dumping site for inappropriate contents.
Have we really opened our doors to these kind of stuff just because we claim that we are "blockchain" and we hate censorship? Please tell me I'm wrong and I will forever hold my peace about this issue.

It is integrated in Steemit. In fact, you can login and upload your videos using your Steemit account. Cheers!
Good point, it frustrates me. I don't want to see it and its pretty prevalent on dtube as well as on steemit.. Maybe we need to make a place where all that stuff can go instead of clogging up a genuine creative space.
It is very frustrating, indeed. It's not that NSFW is totally wrong but some stuff are just disgusting and very inappropriate.
Of course it won't be different from other video sites. The only distinguishing factors are you get paid from up votes and it can't be censored. Apart from that, people will just upload the same stuff.
So, now the question is, Is UNCENSORED content, which by the way, is what most, if not everybody wants, a healthy proposition? Will it really contribute to the value of the community?

I wanted to upload a 1080p movie on Dtube but it seems thats their down link is too weak . I think this platform has a great future if it manage to profive enough bandwith and this is expensive!
I want to try but having second thoughts. But I'll try uploading just for the heck of it. Maybe I get to earn something, too ;-)
Yeah i believe platform like this are the future ! they should put their computing and bandwith power on the blockchain with POW algoritm so they don't pay for traffic and people can earn money by relaying videos.
