Good luck with all the equipment you're planning on getting Cam. Mic, camera and gimbal is a hefty shopping list.
I've just got a gimbal, bought from tibfox on steembay and I'm still figuring it out. I did a read through of the instructions today and downloaded the phone app so I'm pretty sure I'm good to go with it... Now I've just gotta get out of my comfort zone and do some walking-talking piece to camera in public 🤯 😉
Cheers Raj. Indeed it is a shopping list, but it's investing into myself and my business. It's just tricky when the business isn't earning much yet. Teaching is slowly building up. Patience and consistency are the watchwords.
I know what you mean about the talking in public thing. That took me a while; same with taking pictures in towns and cities. Listening to Gary Vaynerchuck is helping me to care less about what people think and being less fearful of failure. I've a long way to go though!

I get where you're coming from and it was interesting hearing your thoughts about earning from content. I went all in on steem content-wise and it was a bit silly really. I'm now looking at cataloguing all of my work on here (as the majority is creative writing or articles) and building up a presence on medium and perhaps patreon. I should have been doing all of this already and cross posting but my illness limited me.
I share your dream mate, to some day be self-sufficient from my earnings from writing and content. As you said, consistency and patience are key.
It was Steemit that got me into this mindset along with listening to Gary Vee (recommended to my by a few fellow DDaily crew -- looking at you @slayerkm and @neopch!) His style is not for everyone, but his message is consistent and he's genuine. Patreon is something I've been thinking about too - it could be a large piece of the puzzle potentially. Some other musicians are using it to great effect, together with Instagram and YouTube.
It must be even more challenging with an illness to work through, although I'm having my own mental health issues right now that I'm working through as well. I would so desperately love to make music and content production earn enough to get me out my current ball-and-chain situation!
I'll check out Gary Vee... although if he's an inspirational speaker I might end up running a mile tbh. Worth looking at with an open mind though, that's my new philosophy; to be less cynical 😅

Yeah, mental health is just as big a thing to work through as a chronic condition, in fact I look on them as the same type of thing. I had my issues with Mental Health in the past. My heart goes out to you mate. It sounds like the medication has helped at least, which is positive.

You'll get there and I do think diversifying platforms is key. I love steem and really hope that it goes mainstream in the next bull run. But the whole nature of crypto markets makes steem a very unreliable prospect for someone seriously trying to live off their content. Best of luck to both of us! Nice chatting Cam 🙂

I'm glad the guitar teaching is going so well 🙂
