RE: My Go-To Gear for Making Quality Content While Traveling
The mic will really help when there is wind but when it is calm like this it isn't really needed. If you use it though you should drop the volume. Is the mic plugged into your camera or do you have an external recorder?
It’s just an inexpensive lav mic and so there are no volume settings inforortunantly. 😞 I could play around with placing it a little lower though.
And it plugs right in. 😊
Oh, I meant just when you mix audio from your camera and lav mic in the same video, like one where you're inside with a group so you use your camera's audio and then have a part where it is just you with the lav mic to balance the audio in post.
I have used a Zoom H1 to record externally, I just clap 3 times and then sync the audio in post. That way during vlogging it is possible to have less wires running from you to the camera. I can also set the camera up at a distance form me and it still works.
