The Segwit2x matter is weighing a lot on the crypto market. There is justified worry about BTC being negatively affected due to the purported hash power that is said will support Segwit2x.
As mentioned in this video, we had been lucky with the Bitcoin Cash fork. BCH did have value while BTC went up to new highs. But it might be a different story with Segwit2x.
It's good that Bitfinex has been very proactive about the matter and coming up with its BT1 and BT2 tokens. At the very least we will have a tool to gauge how things might go.
There will be winners from this. I believe some money now in BTC will flow to a few altcoins when investors hedge while waiting out the Segwit2x event. The key for traders is to be quick in spotting which ones.
