Electroneum is a new cryptocurrency that has been generating waves of interest with a new value proposition: acquire new users via a mobile mining experience. Whilst this might seem like a great idea on paper, there might be some key issues with implementing such an app.

I was just considering taking a serious look at the Electroneum ICO, but after watching this vid, not so interested anymore. It's either POW or it isn't. What is this "simulated mining" shtick?

EOS is simulated, you should check out that one.. I think it's a very good idea (saves power)
they are pre mined coins to get the masses within the second and third world a way to access crypto when their central banks have banned it .
There mobile mining experience proposition is only targeting the smart phone user who know what crypto sphere is all about. This may seat the current user bit fail to convert the adorers to users. It's a crypto to watch and thanks for the insights.
I completely agree with you that the "mining experience" is flawed. Even now I can think of a ton of ways to easily fool the system...

My initial gut feeling about this ICO was a joke.
Any marketing thats says "just like Bitcoin but better"make me suspicious from the get go.
Honestly just get Smartphones involved in a System in 2017 and you can be damn sure People gona invest in it big time...
