Feathered Friday - THE SUBURBAN PEACOCK
There is a small neighborhood at the outskirts of the city, made mostly of single-family housing, small buildings with large lawns and gardens ... and surrounded by warehouses and supermarkets ...
... one of my friends lives there, so I visit the place every few months ...
... and sometimes I encounter this beautiful peacock in his suburban garden ...
... but this is not his bird ...
... the peacock is here just to taste his salad :) and some other gardening products ...
... this is a neighbor's pet ...
... just like my cats here in my neighborhood, this peacock wanders freely through gardens, over fences and rooftops ... and also sounds a bit like a cat :D ...
... or more precisely :) something between the cat and the trumpet ... a jazzy trumpet cat ... something like that ... you can hear his voice in some of these little video fragments ...
... his name is Broz ...
... is named after the famous Josip Broz Tito, the leader of yugoslavia, who had a lot of peacock wandering around his residence on Brijuni Island, not far from this city ... the city of Pula ...
... he is not a great flyer ...
... but is good enough aviator to reach the rooftop ...
... and is great to see him there ... singing proudly ...
... it really looks like he owns the place ... and now ... here is a DTUBE video with the peacock walking on rooftops ...
