The discreet charm of abandoned things - EPISODE 1 - A green island in the empty room
There is a special room in the middle of the place that looks like nowhere.
It's empty and the floor is made of thick concrete ... the walls are made of stones
Kids have filled them, through some generations, with layers of graffiti
I was one of those kids too ... long ago ... the themes and look of the graffiti was pretty different back then :) in many ways, but then there are also the usual love messages and they haven't changed.
And in the middle of that concrete room ... is a little green island ...
After the rain, water is falling, drop by drop, from the ceiling on this small isolated garden
I like this quiet soundtrack ... and I like this place out of time ...
This place is abandoned from the early 60'. It was a part of a big communal farming project back then. And it's in the same place as then ... but the state has Changed. It was Yugoslavia in those times, a socialist state, and this was one of the socialist projects.
In these series, I will try to show you some peculiar ambients and atmospheres in the abandoned places in the area where I live
And I hope you'll find these things interesting :)
Here is a little video ... so you can hear the sounds ... and better feel the atmosphere of this place ...
... and that's all for today ... have a good day ... or night ... wherever you are ...
( As always on these posts on Steemit, all the photographs ... and the videos ...are my work. )

I love the video. Best part is, you don't interpret what we see. You let us experience it.
Great idea for a series.
I like to convey the atmosphere of unusual places ... and find details that can easily take the imagination traveling
Pablo was there! hehehe
:D
Howdy sir borjan! very interesting that the plants can come up out of concrete and survive!
