Decentralized alternative for youtube?! DTube test by @blocklab

Steemit has developed some other cool apps on top of it.

Youtube sucks more each and avery day, due to censorship and add bombardement.

Luckily some smart developers have developed a possible solution:

DTube

It is based on Steemit and you can login using your Steemit nickname/ public key and your posting key

Theory aside, I have taken DTube to the test and here is the result:

Here is a step by step process of what I did:

1.Go to Dtube: https://dtube.video/
of what I did:

2.Login with your Steemit nickname and your posting key (not the Master Key!) You will find your posting key under: Wallet/ Permissions/ Posting/ Show Private Key

3.Prepare your video. I actually took some video file from my gopro and edited the first video ever in my life. So please dont be to hard on my editing skills =)

4.Upload your video. Go to Upload and just follow the steps 1, 2, 3 (Upload Video, Upload Snapshot, Upload to Blockchain):

Voila - Video is uploaded and found under NEW VIDEOS:

...and in your channel:

The coolest thing is that your videos is directly linked/ posted on your steemit profile.

I tried DTUBE. Its a bit slow now. But a awesome start. It will get better as an when more and more people use it and all the bugs are removed.

I've seen some smaller youtubers already moving to dtube.
I definitely think in the future this will be the next big thing but it is going to take time as people mostly discover dtube when they use steemit.
I guess get on the dtube train early before it blows up in the future @blocklab

It's good to see alternatives for youtube and specially if backed up with steemit and steem. I'm excited about DTUBE's future.

I think it will take time to be a good alternative of Youtube ,currently it little bit slow and have not option for embed video script,Its a good initiative to create #Dtube for steemit .

It wil take a while before Dtube wil take over youtube. But youtube is playing games with the income from alot of there main content creators. So they are looking for other ways to make a income. Patron is not cutting it for them.

The only thing I will love to see if we can watch the videos directly on steemit posts without leaving the steemit post and go to Dtube site to watch the video.
