Mom Posts Picture Of Her Baby Bump. Cops Are Hunting Her Down For What’s In Background
When a pregnant North Carolina woman snapped a picture of her baby bump and posted it online, police quickly arrived at her door and arrested her. Not because she was exposing too much of baby number four or making people uncomfortable, but because she posed in front of drug paraphernalia.
Baby bump pictures are common on social media these days. And that’s great. Expectant moms should be proud to share the progress they are making throughout their pregnancy. They are doing the hard work of growing a whole human inside their bodies. It’s amazing to say the least.
But when this pregnant North Carolina woman inadvertently showed off her illegal pastime on Facebook, the police came knocking and took her away in handcuffs. Learn more about this crime story below!
According to the Cherokee, North Carolina woman’s Facebook page, her name is Natosha Kirkland. She uploaded the baby bump picture as her profile picture on February 16. Days later, she was arrested…
As the picture began to appear in friends and family members’ Facebook feeds, it attracted comments like “Sexy” and “Love it. I wish you the best.” But then people started noticing the sinister object lurking in the background (for a better look of what cops saw that had her arrested, check out the video).
Facebook users began to point out the drug paraphernalia in the background. That’s when he became obvious why the 26-year-old expectant mother had a tie-off on the crook of her arm…
Sourced indicated that Natasha Kirkland (not Natosha as her Facebook profile stated) was arrested on February 19. She was charged with felony credit card fraud, driving with a revoked license, and felony obtaining property under false pretenses.
The public was shocked that it doesn’t seem like she was facing any child endangerment charges.
After she was arrested, Natosha logged onto Facebook and claimed her page was hacked. She shared this update about a month after she was taken in by police…
“My Facebook was hacked I have not been able to get on here since the ninth of Feb … the pic was taken a year ago and have was not pregnant I just got my kids taken at the time pic was taking I lost my mind and yes I did my drugs … I have been clean and I intend to stay that way … so for everyone to know I am 20 weeks and five days pregnant today I do not do drugs and that pic has ruin my life but I’m not letting it drag me down or hold me back from doing right and living a clean and sober life for me and my baby girl and of course my other three babies I have … so please for the sake of ur self and my self stop talking about me …..”
Do you think this mom should have been arrested? Or do you believe her Facebook page was hacked like she claims?

Some people are so amazingly stupid. It's a wonder they can get through a day.
It really is a shame. And let's not forget the real victim in this: the baby!
Crack is wack. My sister had my nephew while on drugs (heroine I believe) and he was born with autism. Don't get me wrong, CPS definitely abuses their power but I speak from experience that druggies should not have children.
I'm sorry to hear that @liquifire! I hope your nephew is doing well and your sister has kicked the habit.
