Drug offenses usually lead to also civil forfeitures which is Double Jeopardy. You can't be double punished for a single crime. I wish a lawyer with balls with use this argument for their clients.

The War on Drugs is a joke. It is nothing more than controlled opposition by the Freemasons to profit from two opposing sides.
Many of the wars across the world are either oils or drugs, such as the Afgan war which is nothing more than a war on the poppy fields that produce Opium for the world just like the Vietnam war.
There's lots of money to be made and lots of power to be kept by having drugs illegal. The government, as usual, is the biggest and most powerful gang.
