My Dtube Videos #7: Learning Ukulele [The first song I learned]

Hello everyone! How are you guys today? I just want to share this raw video I took when I was practicing and learning to play the ukulele. This is my 7th video here in @dtube and I am happy to record this one so I have my remembrance of my first ukulele song.

I borrowed this ukulele from a friend and decided to try playing it. By the way, this is my first time playing this musical instrument though I already know how to play a guitar which is another fretted musical instrument with strings.

Unlike the guitar, ukulele has only 4 strings and it has also different chords. But thank God for the internet, I learned its chords with no trouble. If you are also new to this musical instrument, I would suggest you visit this link for simple ukulele guides.

In the video, I tried to play the song “Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Israël Kamakawiwo'ole”. It is very beautiful song and I really think that everyone can relate with it. I will not explain here my own interpretation of the music rather I’ll just ask you to listen to it with all your heart.

Since this song was my first ukulele song, it is not surprising that I made a lot of mistakes, but I just laugh to myself and continued the music instead. To me, this video was not really bad for my first ukulele song. Imagine if I continue to practice ukulele for at least a week or a month, imagine how skillful I could become? Hehehe.
