Grabando video - Tocando habanera

in #dtube4 years ago (edited)

Speak English

I have a certain taste for some opera themes and here is my interpretation. Now I will tell you a little about this piece:

This Havana, "L'amour est un oiseau rebelle" ("Love is a rebel bird"), is a song of rebellious love that is summed up, almost leitmotiv of the whole opera, in that famous "Si tu ne m ' aimes pas, je t'aime; if je t'aime, prends garde a toi »(« If you don't love me, I love you; if I love you, be careful »). Don José "passes" the stir caused by the young woman; This one approaches his table and throws a flower at him, it is only the beginning of the spell that will take him "along the path of misfortune."

Once all the women have entered the factory after finishing the break, Don José is left alone until Micaela arrives and they start a duo that reaches the culmination with «Ma mère, je la vois ...» «or souvenirs d 'autrefoi' ("My mother, I see her ..." "Oh memories of other times"). When Micaela leaves the square and Don José is left alone, there is a great uproar in the tobacco factory and all the cigar makers leave the factory; one group blames Manuelita and the other, Carmen.

Once the uproar is resolved, Lieutenant Zúñiga asks Don José about the events that have occurred to what he indicates that a fight occurred and a girl appeared with an x pointed on his face, while blaming Carmen for what is defended mockingly ("tra la la la ..."). Zúñiga decides that the young gypsy woman will go to the dungeon and asks Don José to take her to the dungeon. While waiting to receive the order, he leaves only the brigadier with Carmen. The gypsy tries to seduce him ("Près de remparts de Seville", "Near the walls of Seville") and he, in principle, refuses, and then accepts. It is the beginning of the end of Don José: he lets the young gypsy escape and ends up being imprisoned and degraded.

Georges Bizet
The composer of this opera, known as Georges Bizet (Paris, October 25, 1838-Bougival, June 3, 1875), was a French composer, mainly of operas. In a career cut by his premature death, he achieved little success until his last work, Carmen, which became one of the most popular and interpreted works of the entire operatic repertoire.

Bizet won several awards throughout his brilliant career as a student at the Paris Conservatory, including the prestigious Rome Prize in 1857. He was recognized as an exceptional pianist, although he preferred not to take advantage of his skill and rarely played in public. After returning to Paris after spending almost three years in Italy, he realized that in the main Parisian opera houses the most entrenched classical repertoire was preferred before the works of new composers. His orchestral and keyboard compositions were also largely ignored, which stagnated his career so he had to make a living mainly through arrangements and transcriptions of the music of others. In search of the desired success, he began several theatrical projects during the 1860s, many of which he abandoned. Neither of the two operas that were staged - The Pearl Fishermen and The Beautiful Girl of Perth - succeeded immediately.
