Online Retailer Travels 530 Miles To Beat Woman Who Gave Him A Bad Review [VIDEO]

A disturbing footage showing a woman being badly kicked and punched by a man, who travelled more than 500 miles to take revenge because she gave a bad review regarding his e-commerce service, has gone viral.

Xiao Die had purchased clothes worth 300 yuan ($46) on December 20 from Alibaba's Taobao, a Chinese e-commerce platform. But after her purchase was not delivered on time (three days after she placed the order, the items had not been dispatched), she wrote a bad review about Zhang, an online retailer.

Soon, Zhang started harassing her over calls and text messages. Viral Thread reports:

"On December 23, Die received a sinister message from the vengeful store owner saying “I can destroy you” not long after she made her complaint to Taobao. Die later got an anonymous call from Zhang who was in Suzhou in east China at the time."

On December 27, Zhang attacked Xiao at the pickup point in Zhengzhou where the product was supposed to be delivered.

She was hit in the face, body and pushed onto the floor by Zhang, who claimed he had travelled a day and night to teach the woman a lesson. Xiao suffered concussion and was left with bruises, severe injuries and fractures in her left elbow.

Zhang was arrested on January 6. He received a 10-day detention and his online shop account was deleted by Taobao after the incident. The Daily Mail reports:

"It was the year-end clearance when Xiao Die made a purchase from Mr Zhang's shop. Mr Zhang's ratings was deducted 12 points after Xiao Die's complaint."
