Life in the Caribbean - Hitchhiking to a hidden Cenote
One of the cool parts of volunteering in a hostel is that you constantly meet people from everywhere in the world and, this time, I met Öykü and Hazar from Turkey. One day we decided to go to a Cenote, but not one of those famous ones that every tourist knows about and are always full of people, loud as hell and overall, not pleasant to visit.

Also, the cool part of a hostel life is that the people who stay in one are usually open minded, adventure prone people, so hitchhiking from one place to another is not out of consideration and sometimes its more fun that to just take a van and get to one place.
The Heart of Paradise or Corazón del paraíso Cenote is one of the most beautiful ones I´ve seen, not because of its uniqueness but because of the mix of things I got to experience that day: the people, the weather, the secludeness of the place, my humor and especially, that there wasn´t a lot of tourists there.

Riding on the back of the truck is so much fun. I have done it many times here in El Salvador, but try not to do it on the highways, since the drivers here are absolutely crazy, so its way to dangerous.

Clear water, is that a kind of lagoon?
It's a Cenote, its very similar to a lagoon but they're connected between each other underground, pretty cool huh?
