After my latest DTube post, @ashleykalila asked me how I managed to get my SNAP photo (the title/still image for my DTube video) to be so big! It actually has nothing to do with DTube and I'll show you a quick way to do this yourself!

Make sure you have copies of the DTube logos.

I grabbed the black text version from their website as an .svg file (fairly incompatible with any simple image processor) and processed it as a PNG in both black and white. Here are those files, and thank @dtube for their hard work designing their logo.

Next, take your SNAP capture or desired title image for your video and open it with your photo processing software.

I use Photoshop, which I agree with a bit outdated for this type of work. Ideally, I'd be in InDesign or something more sophisticated, but my familiarity with Photoshop makes this a breeze.

Free tools you can use instead of Photophop:

Pre-formatting your post is key to making this a steamlined DTube upload and Steemit viewer experience.

Make sure you have your post pre-written and pre-formatted to your tip-top markdown capacity. This means your SNAP image should be at the top of your post (in your drafts) as would any other header image.

If you're not yet pre-drafting your Steemit posts with side-by-side Markdown formatting, HackMD.io is my absolute favorite.

Once your DTube video has uploaded, input your article title, your SNAP image, and your tags. Be prepared to copy + paste!

This isn't the cleanest way to craft a post, so be sure your bandwidth won't get too diminished by making edits after you publish. You can check this on SteemNow.

Once your pre-formatted post is ready for Steemit and your DTube video is uploaded + tagged, press SUBMIT in DTube and immediately open the post in your Steemit blog.

Click Edit to open your DTube-formatted Steemit post. Keep the DTube links where they are for now! Follow the directions in this screen shot, taken from my recent post.

Your header image + DTube links will show up eye-catching and full-size, like this!

You are now ready to spotlight your DTube videos with stellar SNAP header images!
