Easy Homemade Meat Sauce
2 Tablespoon Olive Oil
1 Onion (diced)
2 Cups of Mushrooms (roughly diced)
4 cloves of Garlic (minced)
1 lb. Ground Beef
Salt and pepper to taste
½ Tablespoon Paprika
½ teaspoon Pepper Flakes
1 Tablespoon Italian Seasoning
1 teaspoon Taco Seasoning
1 (32 oz) jar Pizza Sauce
In a large sauce pan add in olive oil and allow to warm up on medium heat. Once the oil is hot, sauté onions until translucent (about 6 mins), add mushrooms and garlic. Sauté 7-10 min until mushrooms are cooked. Add grounded beef and break up with wooden spoon. Cook until meat is done, add in salt, pepper, paprika, pepper flakes, Italian seasoning and taco seasoning all to taste. Add in pizza sauce and give it a good stir (taste and adjust seasonings if needed). Let simmer on low for at least 30 mins. Enjoy on top of pasta or rice!
