WHO WON THE FREE 5 SBD GIVEAWAY ????

After a long (and incredible) wait, we have finally reached the end of our FREE 5 SBD Giveaway. Before I announce who the lucky winner is, I would like to personally thank every single one of you who paid attention to our contest and contributed your perspective in making @dtube a better platform. Without further ado, let us congratulate our lucky winner who is taking home 5 SBD!!!

• He envisioned that he may use DTube videos in his own personal website too

Yes, I am aware that many of you have suggested embedding of DTube videos for Steemit and established social media platforms like Facebook, Youtube, Twitter etc. However, @bryandivisions' suggestion was able to paint a different picture in my mind: in which influencers with their own websites (eg. musicians) can also introduce @dtube to their website followers. This certainly help to make his suggestion stand out compared to everyone else's when it comes to embedding DTube videos.

Another key thing to mention here is that I value the embedding of Dtube videos higher than every other suggestions because I feel that:

• it is most relevant to every single user on both DTube and Steemit. Users who blog can now post short tutorial videos on DTube and embed them onto their written tutorials, whereas DTubers can now write blog articles about their videos (which are their primary source of content like myself for example)
• replacing Youtube with DTube as the go-to video embedding source can help to shift audience's attention from Youtube to DTube (assuming that valuable content are actually transitioning from Youtube to DTube too)

With this being said, every suggestion that is put forward during the contest is worth taking note of nonetheless. Therefore, I hereby official propose to @dtube to take these suggestions into consideration when your team is working on improving DTube.

For your ease, I have compiled the following suggestions according to its value in my perspective:

1. Allow DTube videos to be embeddable on all kinds of websites (eg. Steemit, Facebook, Twitter, Personal Website, Blogspots etc.)
2. Increase the buffering speed of videos. Occasionally, I do have trouble with loading videos especially when it's more than 5 minutes duration (approximately). However from the comments section, many users actually have it worse on their end despite having no issues whatsoever with their internet connection but only DTube videos.
3. Improve the 'related' videos section for users to browse through more relevant content while consuming the current video (currently there is only 6 suggestions in this section)
4. Build an efficient search engine that allows users to search for more than 10 DTube videos inside the platform (I did a simple test for this: I searched different keywords like DailyMastermind, STEEM, and cryptocurrency and only 10 searches are shown each time).
5. Allow users to share DTube videos in established social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+ etc. (currently only resteeming is available, which means videos can only be shared directly to the STEEM Blockchain but nowhere else)
6. Design a 'automatically publish video once uploading is completed' function for users to upload DTube videos with ease. Personally, it is a hassle to publish huge files because it takes a long time to upload and I still have to be present to click the 'Publish' button in order to get the video out there. This is sometimes difficult when I'm in a hurry or that I am out the whole day, and my publishing schedule is interrupted because I'm late with my videos etc.
7. Mobile Application for iOS and Android, of course! This is the key factor that led to various social media platforms to become incredibly popular because anyone can use their platforms anytime since all of us are using our mobile phones 24/7. However, I believe this should be the last priority because I personally would not enjoy using the app if there is no solid backend system behind it (like how I stopped using eSteem because it is not reliable enough to replace a desktop).

SILLY ME

Now that we're done with the announcement, I've got something to admit: I made an incredibly stupid mistake this morning by not transferring the 5 SBD right away to @bryandivisions. Instead, I went and power up all my SBD and had nothing left for our lucky winner.

However, SUPER HUGE THANKS to @alexe and @bitrocker2020, I was able to quickly accumulate 5 SBD once again to reward Bryan.
