In the registration issue, there is certainly no problem that makes registration difficult. In Indonesia, of course, an institution or business that we want to run. There is a process that we have to go through, but because I want to register an institution engaged in education, it is not as complicated as other businesses. Because to establish an educational institution gets special attention from the government.

The stages that must be passed by someone who wants to register his school to become a state-recognized institution are:

Legal basis number 11 of 2020 on job creation and there are other bases that all make it easier for us to register educational institutions.

The school submits a proposal to the relevant parties which includes the specified requirements.
The relevant parties will verify the completeness of the administration that has been determined and of course the school must not ignore the administration.
If all the administration has been fulfilled, the relevant parties will convey what has been fulfilled, and if it is not fulfilled, it will be returned to the institution.
If all the administration has been fulfilled, it will be directly handled by the technical team and the next step is directly verified in the field.
The process of making a report on the results of the verification is feasible or not feasible for the school.
A recommendation is issued for the issuance of a license if the school is feasible, while if it is not feasible a recommendation letter will also be submitted.
In the event that there is still an objection, the submitting party can correct it and of course improve the situation in the field.

Because the business I run is a business engaged in education. Of course, if all the requirements that have been set have been met, then this business will not have too many challenges in the registration process. Because we want to educate the nation, the government will make it easier for us in the process of issuing licenses.

Because the government makes it easy for us to issue licenses to establish educational institutions. If all the requirements have been determined, then we do not have to spend funds and do not have to do things that are not allowed by the government. Moreover, the business we established is an institution engaged in education. It should be supported by the government.

As I said before, if all the requirements that have been set are in accordance with the basic work copyright law, then we will not encounter obstacles that make us have to take action outside the procedures that have been set. This is something that makes it very easy for anyone who wants to set up an educational institution, especially since all the requirements that have been set have been met.

In terms of managing educational institutions, from the first start, we submit proposals. This is followed by verification of administrative completeness. And if it is incomplete, we must complete it again. Next, from the verification stage in the field to the stage of issuing a recommendation whether it is appropriate or not to issue a permit. It will take about a month or as long as thirty days.

In this case, of course the government does not impose taxes on institutions, but taxes on teachers' income which ranges from around 5% to 15%, even if we use professional staff who are government employees. Only personal charges, which are adjusted to applicable taxation laws. The 11% amount charged is in the form of education services tax.

Apart from these taxes, as I mentioned above, there are no additional taxes that we have to pay. Because everything has been regulated in very clear rules and of course easy for us to understand.

If I want to build a school, of course I have to pay income tax. Because of my status as a civil servant who receives a salary from the government. At least there is no way for me not to pay the amount of tax that has been determined for the profession that I undertake.

In this case I will pay income tax directly by depositing it into the state treasury. In accordance with the account that has been determined. And then I have to report it on the specified tax page. And this must be done regularly every year. As a good citizen I must always report it at https://djponline.pajak.go.id/account/login

*What are the options in case you face any tax-related problems?*

In terms of taxation, of course I will use professional services in the taxation sector. Even though I tried to do it myself to solve the tax problem. How wonderful it would be if I consulted with them, if I experienced tax problems.

In the country where I live there is a court that will hear or handle tax matters. That also depends on how much tax we don't pay. So we will be dealing with a legal entity and of course we will also get assistance from legal experts who are ready to help us resolve problems related to taxation.

In this case, of course there are parties who will lose or win. However, everything depends on the legal decision that is decided after we undergo trial. And if we lose, of course we have to pay the tax. And accept all the consequences that occur. Sometimes we win or lose, but we have to accept it with open arms.

Of course, all countries have their own rules or policies towards business. Likewise with Indonesia, which has regulations or policies regarding the business world. With policies made so that the people become more prosperous so that income levels increase. And guaranteed education that makes its people better. If there are no policies regarding business, things will happen that we don't want. A good country is a country that is able to prosper its people.
