Dear musicians and all lovers of music,

I would like to share with you my new project and invite you to submit your DSound recordings for the possibility of being featured in my top finds of the day.. a new music showcase called "D-Sound Discoveries." You see, I just discovered DSound, and I'm a bit overwhelmed (in the best way) with all the wonderful music I'm finding on the site, and I just would really like to share my finds with everyone. I want to line them up all in a row and show you what's out there, and give these gifted artists some well-deserved exposure.

One of my passions has always been discovering new music before anyone else does. It's like a race to me. Gotta get it before the masses. Find the treasures. That's me. That's especially me right now.

These discovery showcases will feature the hidden best that DSound has to offer, and will ONLY feature original music. (No covers unless they just seriously blow me away)

I'm very picky. I'm a sucker for good lyrics, but if the melody is lacking, then I'm disenchanted. And vice versa.. the pitch can be spot-on, but if you're singing about how some chick thinks your tractor is sexy, then I'm probably not going to be interested. In fact, I hate that stupid song. It makes me rage. Tractors aren't sexy. Maybe someone sitting on a tractor could be sexy, but the tractor itself is just a tractor. If you think the tractor is sexy, then maybe you're actually just another tractor. Pretty sure that's impossible.

Having said all of that, I am very heavily into acoustic and folk rock music, those are my preferred genres. However, I am always able to appreciate a good song, regardless of genre, if it's created brilliantly. A brilliant song surpasses all labels and stereotypes. Genres are merely shelves in a library. Sometimes you can find the greatest poetry in the horror aisles. Sometimes you can find a recipe in a poetry book. Beauty thrives in every shelf if you just take the time to find it.

So, here's what's going to happen. Every week, maybe even multiple times per week, I will share in my blog a post titled "D-Sound Discoveries" and I will feature a selection of songs that I've found over at DSound. MOST (if not ALL) of these selections will be those that I've found in the NEW category or just randomly found somehow.

Songs that have managed to find themselves into the hot and trending categories have already found their audiences, and will not be considered. I want to help the UNdiscovered treasures come to light. I won't be flipping through the trendy stuff or the songs that have already earned a lot of money. If it's over $100 when I find it, I won't be sharing it. This showcase is for the underdogs.

Aside from my own discoveries, I would like to invite ALL DSound artists to leave links to your own recordings in the comments sections of my discoveries blogs. Whether you're a whale or a minnow, a singer or a podcaster or a poet.. anyone and everyone.. Feel free to say as little or as much as you'd like to about your stuff. This is your time to shine.

If you'd like to actually submit a song to me for consideration, all you have to do is either leave a link to your dsound in the comments of this post or in any of my future discovery posts, as I said above, or add a category tag or hashtag called #dsounddiscoveries (the letter "d" is typed twice) to your own blog post which links to your recording.

That's it! I hope this helps someone find their way to a new favorite song, and I hope to help musicians find some new fans.

Thank you so much to everyone who becomes involved! I will let you know if I have featured you. Most people I feature I'm sure will have no idea that this blog even exists. That's 100 percent true right now, of course.

Please don't beg or be offended if I don't feature you. Remember, you can actually just feature yourself in the comments. I promise I will listen to every song that is shared with me. I don't have time to comment back to everyone, though. And I can't upvote the comments all of the time. It uses up my bandwidth, which I literally run out of every morning. My upvotes are literally worth nothing anyway. Zero. I'm just a lowly minnow in the swirly steemit sea.

Please feel free to re-steem or upvote this post, but it is not a requirement to be considered for the showcase. I just want to hear new music, honestly, and give my blog an enjoyable purpose.

Here are a few of my favorite finds today. I'ms still learning how to format these posts.. I'll be adding pictures and such and better formatting my text when I master the skills! : )
