What is Teh Tarik Sundays?

It is the FIRST talkshow initiated by @branlee87 and @zord189 with the support from #teammalaysia witness & lead, @bitrocker2020 exclusively for #teammalaysia members to gain exposure for their posts.

Why Teh Tarik? Because its what we Malaysians drink at a mamak stall when we hang out with friends. Here is what is going to happen on Sunday Nights :

Everyone is invited to join the Teh Tarik voice channel on Sundays at 10:00 pm.
Everyone is given a chance to promote a post.
You do not need to be the author of that post as you can promote your friend's post or a very interesting post for everyone to see.
During your sharing, the post promoted will be shared in the Kopitiam channel for everyone to see. You will also get extra exposure. Your post may even be rewarded.
Only the Moderators and Authors are allowed to speak in the voice channel. The listeners can and should engage in the Kopitiam Text Channel.

The Malaysian Guide

Teh Tarik - Directly translates into pulled tea. It is basically 'Hot Milk Tea' and the 'tarik', which means pulled gives the top of the milk tea some foam.

*Kopitiam - 'kopi' which means coffee in Malay and 'tiam' which means shop in the Hokkien language. Kopitiam will be our text channel in discord.

I really enjoyed last nights Teh Tarik Sundays because we minimized the Authors slots to three only and that gave all of us ample time to get to know one another. I also made this Teh Tarik Sundays themed 'Initiatives' because I wanted to allow Authors to spread the goodnews of new and budding initiatives that have just started.

Teh Tarik Sundays isn't just for sharing your post but we are more than happy to help promote or get an update on your initiatives and whether any support is needed. Having said that, I'm sure #teammalaysia members are all already pretty supportive towards all these initiatives but we just wanted to give these initiatives a boost in exposure and rewards. #teammalaysia members are always supportive and eager to help in any way we can to support a fellow Steemian not just from #teammalaysia circle, but every other Steemians who needs it.

Teh Tarik Sundays AKA 'The People's Talkshow' rings true when I made a special announcement at the end of the whole session. We would be having a special Teh Tarik Sundays episode this coming Sunday so be sure to tune in.

And as always, @branlee87 and I are ever so grateful that more and more members are joining in the discord voice channel to listen to both of us banter. Haha, but I assure you, it gets more and more exciting. There are plans for Teh Tarik Sundays to reach the International waters of Steemit and it's all in good time.

1) FreeWriteHouse Party Day 40: Let's Agree To Discord by @kaerpediem

@kaerpediem talked about the freewrite initiative and how she managed to make it through to day 40. We all got to learn a bit more about freewrite and that there were rewards that are going to be given out at the end of the freewrite challenge. Currently there are roughly 20 Authors still running strong on the freewrite challenge and @kaerpediem told us that she will run the freewrite race till she makes it!

2) 4 facts about Vornix by @fr3eze

Had a wonderful time having @fr3eze introduce to us his partnership with @jrvacation to startup a new initiative called @vornix. A reliable service that compliments the @steempress-io plugin used to enable cross platform blogging from Wordpress to Steemit. Do checkout @steempress-io and @vornix for more info.

3) SteemitMamas - A Community of Mamas Supporting Each Other Across the Globe by @khimgoh

Because last nights Teh Tarik Sundays was all about initiatives, @branlee87 and I couldn't help but invite the founder of @steemitmamas, @khimgoh to share the ups and downs in starting a community. We also talk to her about the vision of where @steemitmamas would be going and the plans the community had moving forward.

The moderators will dm you when it is your turn.
Every author will be given 1 minute to promote the post and 2 minutes for Q&A.
Each author will have a maximum time limit of 5 minutes only.
Post must be no older than 3 days old.
Slot registration works on a First Come First Serve Basis. Limited Slots Every Sunday.
Make sure you have a microphone.
Moderators will DM you for a soundcheck an hour before the show starts.
