Track 3: Propelled into Space
from Too Close to the Sun
While completing the vessel that will carry them to the gods, our protagonist is suddenly attacked! They must hurry to finish their work and escape into space. Just when it seems like they are not going to make it, they reach escape velocity and are propelled through their planet's atmosphere and out among the stars. Stay tuned for our next episode...
This Track is meant to echo some of the musical themes and structure found in track one It Used to be Mine, but with a more panicked feel during the first half and a more peaceful resolution during the second. It is also more heavily driven (at least initially) by the guitar and bass plugins and supplemented by the ts404 voices which is opposite of the arrangement used in the first track. The climax, which is meant to emulate the feeling of a tense rocket launch, consists of a series of key changes leading to a progression of diminished chords that cycle through minor thirds until settling on the root again. This resolves to a much calmer and drawn out segment that is meant invoke images of outer space.
