Tea Man - For Shore - (Mixed Media DSOUND CONTEST)
After spending last weekend at the beach on one of my adventures and recording for my vlog, this contest couldn't of happened at a better time.
This song and contest can trigger feelings from your own perception, memories, experience and so on about the beach. Looking at the photo and my personal feeling towards the beach, i also turned to the classic movie ' The Beach' and took inspiration from soundtracks used there. This included the main tune out of All Saints - Pure Shores in which i managed to reproduce the main choon, whilst using a virtual synth to create an electronic like sound but closer to the famous steel drums they quite often use at beaches abroad. I also took inspiration from Moby - Porcelain and attempted to capture a similar feeling i felt from the song itself. I made the track fast in hoping to give it an upbeat feeling that i have at the beach. I used digital flutes for a lighter feel also. The contest is only upto a minute so that was a challenge in itself
