You Really Got Me
Greetings friends, today I am pleased to bring you a version of a great theme, entitled "You Really Got Me", belonging to the British group, The Kinks and written by its leader Ray Davies. It was published in a single, in August of 1964 and the following month it arrived at # 1 of the UK singles chart, remaining in that position during almost two weeks. This great success led them to fame and to be one of the most representative bands of the British invasion. The song, which is based mainly on a riff played with fifth chords, is key to the later genres of rock and roll, particularly in Hard rock and Punk rock. I hope you like it, a hug!
