EXT. PENMAR BEACH - DAY
Funny looking fella finds a guitar in the ocean, picks it up and dusts it off. People strut by on a morning run and stride into the ocean with boards around the funny looking fella with the guitar. He walks up the sand a little bit dumping water out the box.
He bangs it, tweaks the strings and brushes off the sand with his face as he walks towards the Gazeebo.
EXT. GAZEEBO
The funny looking fella looks back at the Ocean with the guitar in his arms.
PELICAN
Who me?
Just the Pelican
from Southern Manitoba
Country Club Hobo out a Winnipeg
Flew west for the winter
Found a box in the water.
Started swimming for my supper.
Scared!
What is me doing here?
Can't remember nuthin except
I don't know nuthin bout a thing or two.
But like the wave is made of water
Crashing into land,
I'll always be from Manitoba
The cliche keeps a pickin and a grinnin. The sun can't stop the wind cut shivers in his bones. The heart of each passing beast beats fire in his eyes.
