Haze by GJART
On today’s track Haze, we channelled our inner T. Rex to bring some glam [synth] rock to the track. It’s one of the first tracks where we experimented with guitars. We had been reading a biography on Nile Rodgers where he talked about many Chic records starting with the chorus, so we thought we would try this pattern out too. Hope you like it.

i like to start with the chorus too then i can build around it to suit , good technique :)
Yes, I'm experimenting more with that approach, it seems even more important when it's not an instrumental - if you want a good hook.
makes sense really doesn't it, as the hook is the centre of attention, so everything should compliment it and build to it :)
Great Chorus , Yeah has a very catchy vibe .Excellent :)
Thanks Deggsy :-)

The variations throughout the track are cool, adds a ton of interest to it. When you say the records start off with the chorus, do you mean as an idea to start from when writing, or the arrangement starts off with the chorus? (I should go listen to some of the records tbh lol)
The chorus kicks in after an intro of 16. That was something quite different as I usually have a verse or two before the chorus.
Yup, that's what I was thinking, just gave me an idea for something I'm going to try next time I start writing something was all ...it was the bit about the Chic records ...which I really need to listen to more of =)
Really nice electronic vibe, but with a fab chorus. love it.
Thanks Deon :-)
