I don't usually do themed mixes. But when I do, I don't use a meme to describe them.
This is a session I did a good while back where I was looking to capture the sensation of moving through space. The sensation of moving from orbit from a standstill, using ion propulsion to gradually ramp up speed until the passing stars become streaks of coloured light.
I didn't want it to purely be all twinkles and happiness, space is foreboding and dangerous. Whether it is the unknown mysteries of the void, machinery threatening to come apart at the seams, or the calculations of a malevolent AI, it is all in here. Most mixes claim to take you on a journey, hopefully this will make you question that statement whenever you see it arise in the future.
