Chega de Saudade (Mandolin)
Hello my Steemit people A pleasure for me to present myself before you, once again, in this field Dsound. In this opportunity I bring you a Chega Version of Saudade. It is a Bossa Nova composed in 1958, whose lyrics were written by Vinicius de Moraes and Music composed by Antonio Carlos Jobin. Bossa Nova is a genre of Brazilian popular music derived from Samba and strongly influenced by jazz. Initially, the term began to be used to designate a new way of singing and playing the Samba by developing an "aesthetic reformulation" within the modern Samba, the Samba Urbano or Carioca. He relied on simple instrumentation and an elegant handling of dissonances, thus developing his own language with a musical texture of deep lyricism. This Brazilian musical genre emerged at the end of the fifties thanks to musicians such as João Gilberto, Tom Jobim, Vinícius de Moraes and other young singers and composers of the middle class of the south zone of Rio de Janeiro. Over the years, the Bossa Nova became one of the most influential movements in the history of Brazilian popular music, reaching worldwide reach. Some of the examples of Bossa Nova that have become icons of universal Brazilian music are songs such as "Garota de Ipanema" (The Girl from Ipanema) and "Chega de Saudade", both composed by Vinícius de Moraes and Antônio Carlos Jobim. This last one is the one that you will be able to enjoy, in this opportunity, and originally it was recorded, for the first time, in April of 1958, in the voice of Elizeth Cardoso, with arrangements of the maestro Antonio Carlos Jobim. On that occasion, she was also accompanied by the acoustic guitar of João Gilberto, the creator of the rhythmic dialing of Bossa Nova. Later, this anthological recording was recognized as the first phonographic record of Bossa Nova. Elizeth's version was released in May of the same year in the album-project Canção do Amor Demais by the label Festa (LDV 6002), in which for the first time what was received what would be called the Bossa Nova beat. On this occasion they will listen to this version of Chega de Saudade in the key of D minor with a mandolin of 10 strings of 5 double orders whose tuning is C-G-D-A-E.
