Episode 2: 'Blind' by Segovia ['Muju principles' Beat-tape].
This is the second of seven tracks that compose the beat-tape. Following the themes that I talked about in the first beat-tape related post, this track is heavily inspired by the anime series 'Samurai Champloo', especifically the character Sara. Sara is a blind musician that encounters the protagonist on their journey and offers them travelling with them in exchange of her paying for all their expenses during their time together. On this travels she reveals that she has a son but can't take care of him due to her disabililty, and it is later revealed, in a clash that she and Jin (One of the protagonists) have, that she has been an hired assassin all along and that her mission is to stop them from continuing their trip. I don't want to get into more details about the rest of the history, there are details that make her arc very tragic and I would like you guys to check it by yourself. In honor of Sara, I have made this track, sampling 'Replica' by Oneohtrix Point Never; I managed to assemble a very particular set of drums (Similar to de drums of one of earlier tracks; 'Our love died last night') but this time I used two sets of kicks and very foley-sounding hats, some ocassionals tambourines here and there and a snare that I mixed to get a more dry sound out of it. I layered a very subtle sub-bass line underneath.
At the end, it's a very simple beat but I'm good with the final result. Feedback would be greatly appreciated. Until the next episode of 'Muju principles', take care! Choon link below!

watched Kids on the Slope (Sakamichi no Apollon) a while ago though, really enjoyed it.
If you haven't heard of it, you would probably like it a lot too^^.
