'A trip to a lounge' by Los dos magos — A collaboration effort between two beatmaking magicians.
This spell was casted by Zig (@onemedia) and myself; two vintage sorcerers that decided to join forces and make miracles together. But really, this was literally a trip for me. I layed some drums over this Blue haze sample (A song by Alan Parker & Alan Hawkshaw from 1977) and my mysterious collaborator and co-producer on the track did, in my opinion most of the important work on this beat; he poured over some string chords that are all over the lenght of the track, vibraphone, guitar and tenor sax solos and more foleys and background noises (Besides the ones I added before). The idea of working together was suggested by him and, I quickly agreed. He is one of the best musicians I've known here on the platform and honestly, I was afraid that maybe he wouldn't like the final result of our work together or perhaps any of the beats I had wouldn't be his cup of tea but, at the end of this trip, we both turned out surprised by how well we worked as a team and how easy it was in some sort of way.
We were waiting until friday to reveal who the co-producer of this track was (A personal request by @onemedia) because he wanted it to be a surprise. He suggested the name "Los dos magos" as a way to present ourselves, and we have been talking on the subject of making more music together using that pseudonym (We want to sort of, make a bigger project together as 'Los dos magos' perhaps), but until then, enjoy our first beat together and I'm totally eager to bring to you more.
