I think that we are seeing this era of blockchain tech happening as a result of shifting beliefs about what is possible. To me, this represents us growing up and taking responsibility for ourselves at a greater level - for example, becoming our own banks.
Rather than not being able to keep up, we have seen a levelling of opportunity - for example, there are many people in African and Asian countries that have been able to create amazing opportunities for themselves and their communities via the Steem blockchain.
Of course, many will ignore it and choose not to keep up, until they have to!
One thing is for sure, we are in exciting times.

I do believe as well that continents such as Africa/Asia will understand much better the new concept of the blockchain and they will develop new way to escape from weird situations of living in areas with problems to survive ...
