Gates to the City [Hallelujah]
This is an intense little electronic track based on an old hymn, 12 Gates to the City. It's about Jerusalem, a city I know fairly well from living there for a time. It's a remarkable place with layer upon layer of dirt, stone, and history.
This is an amazing picture of Jerusalem from 1856, by the photographer Auguste Salzmann. It's available in the public domain via the New York Public Library: digitalcollections.nypl.org/items/510d47d9-5d44-a3d9-e040-e00a18064a99
