Original Song: "Once, Long Ago" [Music]
This time I wrote a really fast song, almost a jig.
The song has almost a spaghetti western sound to it. Spaghetti Western refers to the classic western films that were made in Italy in the 70's. Many of these films had long scenes with no words, and could be easily appreciated world-wide by the amazing musical scores that were composed to fill those otherwise silent scenes with a rising suspense.
Spaghetti Westerns can be a bit mellow dramatic, and usually follow a predictable archetype story format. The films always ends with an epic showdown. One will be declared the victor, who walks away without thanks before anyone can learn his name. The other dies a cowardly, cursed death, whose name will be remembered with scorn forever.

Originally I wanted this song to re-ignite the scenes of ancient castle parties for a king's court. It ended up becoming the backgrounds for a slightly spooky time when the ghosts come out and join the party in an old forgotten mansion. Maybe it can be a bit of both worlds.
