'Rise' is an original song about letting go of the expectations of help from others and staying in my own lane. I've had too many experiences of people telling me they were going to do this or that, but never following through.

Too many experiences of friends turn sour and not wanting me to succeed, despite being a great friend to them.

This song is an expression of those feelings and emotions that decided to move on and leave them in the dust.
