RE: Az Samad | Az Jazz Guitar Lessons EP02 | 19.05.2018

Yo, Az! Always an interesting lesson. It's amazing how that subtle difference can really change the direction and tone of the music. I remember someone who claimed to be an experienced guitarist "taught' a kid that there's almost no difference between playing an A chord or an A minor and that it was interchangeable. I was pretty sure he was dead wrong even back then. Anyways, thanks for the lesson!

Hey @branlee87, thanks for listening. Yeah, it's a subtle thing but it really changes the mood a lot. The whole lesson actually came about after my recording session today. Me and the producer were figuring out what would be the best chords for the piece we were recording and I realise how something like A minor and A minor7 can really feel different especially in a pop song or a ballad where the chords sustain longer.

You're welcome, and really happy that you're checking out the podcast!

It's interesting stuff, man. Not everyday I get to learn from a jazz guitarist. Oh and congrats on your @dsound upvote! Keep up the awesome content!

Thanks @branlee87, and thanks for the congrats too - so that's what happened!

Thank you @dsound!!!

I think the next one will be something on the blues and jazz blues sound. Stay tuned. :)
