Hi friends - I've been loving mixing up the collaborations and experiments for the #openmic sessions each week - so far collaborating with @danieldyemusic @drkent and planning one with @nathankaye

But thought it could be SUPER FUN to write something especially for #openmic with a title decided by you!
Go for it...get as weird as you want...Im not afraid :)

And just to prove it, here's a tiny tune I wrote on assignment when someone asked me to write a theme song with the title "Tom Hanks"

So gimmie your titles! And I'll pick the most intriguing, write a song, and enter it in open mic.

Go!

How bout --- Annie we're comin to get your guns :-o

We used to all love Annie, a legend we thought would last, Cus she could ride a horse and shoot really fast. If she were round today, they'd want to take her guns away. She would surely get no air time, her ratings quickly fall. Our willingness to forget the past is todays beckon call. Few remember Annie or very much of the past, Who knew the price of freedom, and that it wouldn't last. If she were today, We know what she would say, "We would lose our precious freedom If they took our guns away."(the title makes for a kinda cornie hickie song, sorry, I didn't think it through.)

As I mentioned it chat, you should do a song called An Ode to Steemit.

And if no one else bothers to give suggestions, call it "Gohba the great"

Or "Neds Perfect Hair"

3 solid ideas!

"Bing Bang Shuladula Trang"

"Where did you go Mr Trumble?"

"My name is Ben Lee, old fashioned pink phones please me."

OK now were cooking with gas!

Aaah, I'm a bit late it seems .... first things that come to mind:

Story of the unicorn in the gingerbread house

Rainbow sprinkles can save the world

Life of a cuckoo in a cuckoo's clock

Adequately bizarre!

"Russell's interplanetary teapot"

(Goddamn, I am such a nerd!)

It Came from Venus (But It Did Not Please Us)

Only just saw this one, bro! Fabulous idea!
It's weird synchronicity...

Have you ever done the folded paper drawings with your kids?
You know, where you draw a head and neck, fold the paper so that the other person can only see the neck to join onto. Then they draw the torso and fold the paper so that you only see the waste. Then you draw the legs (or tail, etc)... Open the paper folds out = Result is a bizarre funny person/creature.
That idea, but in song format.
I'd been thinking that we could do something similarly random, like both of us write a song verse and a chorus, without telling the other the theme of the lyrics, except the last word of each section (plus perhaps BPM and key) and just joining them together to see what the song is...
I guess John Lennon and Paul McCartney kind of did a similar thing with "A Day in the Life" where they brought a few unrelated partial songs they'd written separately and joined them together to make an opus!

It could become a masterpiece or just a hilarious mashup. Either way, it could be an exciting creative exploration...

Thats awesome. yeah that is a fun restaurant game to keep the kids from acting like lunatics! Lets do it!

Haha! Okay! It's on! This'll be fun and challenging!
Let's DM to work out logistics...

The brickyard, a waffle and me

Going bananas in the onion field

Walking poles and dancing lanterns

Run, cookie, run!

Please tell me when to stop, I'm just warming up (which could also be a title ...)

"Bots on my bot bot"

"Who put my crypto on the moon?"

"Groovegirl Choogirl"

Open Mic on Steemit is a wonderful place to be.
Sing and play your music and try to sing in key.

Hahahaha!!!!

Great idea @benleemusic.

Have you heard these by the @steembirds?

Ha so funny! I love it
