Perseus is a heavenly body in the northern sky, being named after the Greek mythological saint Perseus. It is one of the 48 recorded by the second century space expert Ptolemy,and among the 88 present day groups of stars characterized by the International Astronomical Union (IAU).It is situated almost a few different heavenly bodies named after antiquated Greek legends encompassing Perseus, including Andromeda toward the west and Cassiopeia toward the north.
