Well since most if not all their user base comes from steem people would want steem as a reward I think the future token would have worked if it was presented from the beginning.

I think its good to have these mistakes made now so other dapps can learn how the community reacts and what it takes to build a succesful dapp based on steem. Drugwars wont be the first or the last gaming dapp on this chain its all about learning right now
