Thank you for this thorough post, can't explained any better the changes on Drugwars!

Totally agree with the Hobos, I think it's a good option if the players need to burn some Alcohol, but also to send a wave of Hobos for the Battles.
I believe the unique speciality of each types of units will bring a whole new level to the strategy of the Battles, as you can already see with the Bazooka and the Hobo.

For now the gang is only a "paperwork" but in our plan it will be beyond useful to join a gang. Spoiler Alert: Missions, but I can't tell more or I will be fired (kiddin').

I've enjoyed reading the Improvements in General paragraph, and agree we definitely have much more room for improvement! We also got that staging effects at first then removed it, but as you said I also think it's interesting to have those so that we know exactly what is happening at that moment.

Once again, thank you for this detailed post as well as suggestions!
