A healthy young generation is a young generation free from drugs and illegal drugs. Drugs are an extension of Narcotics and Drugs or hazardous substances. Another term used is Napza which stands for Narcotics, Psychotropic and Addictive Substances. Drugs or drugs are substances / drugs when entering the body, especially the brain / central nervous system, causing health problems, physical, psychological, and social functions due to habit, addiction and dependence.

Drug use can be done by:

  1. Rolled and burned
  2. Inhaled
  3. Drunk, swallowed and inhaled
  4. Injected into the body

In recent years there have been many victims of the younger generation who have been trapped by drugs resulting from the abuse of drugs. Someone does not just experience the dependence of drugs, but gradually. First, it begins with experimental factors, where one tries to use drugs, like try smoking or drinking alcohol. Because it feels there is a fun effect, then repeat it again and keep repeating it so that it goes into the habituation stage continues to the stage (dependence) which eventually leads to an overdose. Both are influenced by individual factors, in addition to fad and trial and error, as well as the hope of gaining pleasure from the effects of existing drugs, or to suspend perceived pain or discomfort, whether physical pain (such as cancer patients or other illnesses) as well as psychic, such as stress due to breakup, ugly achievement, depression, or conflict with parents. Third, influenced by social factors and environmental factors. For a person the hardest thing to feel is the peer pressure to be accepted or recognized in the group.

To prevent us from getting trapped by drugs can start from ourselves. Therefore the things that need to be known so that we always avoid from drugs, among others:

  1. Never get near drugs for fun or just try.
  2. Always remember that storing, using, and distributing drugs will deal with the law. Always selective in choosing
friends to get along, choose which can have a positive influence on us.
  3. If stress, fail or get into trouble then get closer to God and do things that are positive.
  4. Always improve faith by studying religious teachings.
  5. Avoid "suspect friends" and remember that the pleasure of drugs is false and will end in disaster and death.

In general, drugs are divided into 3 types, namely: narcotics, psychotropic substances and other addictive substances:

Narcotics
Narcotics are substances or drugs derived from plants or non-plants both synthetic and semisintesis that can cause decreased or change of consciousness, loss of taste, reduce to eliminate pain, and can cause dependence (RI Law No. 22 year 1997)

Narcotics is divided into 3 groups:

  1. Narcotics class I: is the most dangerous narcotics, where highly addictive power causes dependence. Examples:
    marijuana, heroin, morphine and putauw
  2. Narcotics class II: narcotics that have a strong addictive power, but useful for treatment and research. Examples:
pethidine, and its derivatives, benzetidine, betametadol.
  3. Narcotics class III: narcotics that have a mildly addictive power, but can be useful for treatment and research.
    Example: codein and its derivatives.

Psychotropic

Psychotropic substances or drugs, both natural and synthetic rather than narcotics, are psychoactive through a selective effect on the central nervous system that causes a distinct change in mental activity and behavior (Law No. 5 of 1997)
The type of psychotropic consists:

  1. Psychotropic class I: can only be used for the benefit of science and not used in therapy and has a very strong
potential resulting in dependency syndrome. (example: ecstasy, shabu, LSD)
  2. Group II psychotropic: efficacious treatment and can be used in therapy, and / or science goals and has strong
potential to cause dependency syndrome. (eg amphetamine, methylphenidate or ritalin)
  3. Group III psychotropic: efficacious treatment is used in therapy for science purposes and has a moderate
potential level resulting in dependency syndrome. (example: pentobarbital, flunitrazepam)
  4. Psychotropic group IV: efficacious treatment is used in therapy for scientific purposes and has a mild potential
level resulting in dependency syndrome. (Eg diazepam, bromazepam, phenobarbital, clonazepam,
klordiazepoxide, nitrazepam, such as BK pills, coplo pills, Rohip, Dum, MG)

Other addictive substances

Addictive substances are substances other than narcotics and psychotropic substances that can cause dependence on the wearer, including:

  1. Alcoholic beverages, containing ethanol that slows down central nervous system work, slows down motor
reflexes, suppresses heart rate breathing and disrupts reasoning and judgment.
  2. Inhalants (inhaled gas) and solvents, among others: glue, thinner, nail polish remover, gasoline, nicotine tobacco
use, in adolescents (to become addicted) to narcotics abuse.

Given the enormous impact that can be caused by drugs will make us the younger generation should be more vigilant, careful and conscious, and never touch the drug just because of curiosity or just try and or prestige of a particular individual or group just because they want to be recognized by an individual or group.

In essence drugs are a poison, where if once we wear it then we will be difficult to find a penawarnya. Be a healthy young generation with a better future without drugs. Are you ready? ............. Ok!
