Did Alphabay just do an EXIT SCAM?
Most likely Alphabay has exit scammed since it's been down for 86 hours and counting now. You can't say fully, however if they did, then they ran off with millions of dollars worth of bitcoin and could care less. Any threats and further updates most likely will be made my fakes or people who want to cash in on the panic. If you held money on the market, it is your loss and you should move on. NEVER trust any marketplace or vendor, and I don't believe I ever recommended for anyone to use the markets as a wallet. Please be smart and use the darknet logically.
"AlphaBay users are fearing the worst after the world’s largest darknet marketplace went offline on Tuesday night and associated Bitcoin accounts were subject to huge withdrawals of funds. The site – which provides a platform for users to buy and sell drugs, guns and other assorted illegal items – is said to have gone down at around midnight, locking users out of their accounts."

I have a feeling Alphabay might be back up soon, Word is that some updates are coming with Zcash. But you never know. "Will be back online soon. Servers under update" And that was 3 days ago.

What wallet so you recommend? Being fairly new to crypto my holdings are sitting on 3 of the bigger exchanges.
Hey dwhntx, Im in Texas too. I prefer Exodus desktop wallet, but the fees are kinda annoying. Sometimes i just use Bittrex as a wallet too.
Thanks bro I will look at that. I don't know what part of Texas you are in but here in East Texas I'm on the verge of heart stroke from working outside.
Bittrex is an online wallet, Electrum is better since it's offline

Not really lol.. it's mainly people who buy pot and acid, carders and hackers. Just because something is "dark" doesn't mean it's hella spooky.
Something like that wasn't even allowed on AB and isn't allowed on the marketplaces I know. And that's a good thing.
Right, certain things like violence, CP, extortion, etc. aren't allowed on 90^% of the marketplaces. You'd have to know EXACTLY where to search to find that
