Starlink was turned off.

Ukrainian Pravda is reporting that the first Ukrainian naval drone attack in September 2022 failed because Elon Musk specifically turned off the Starlink connection.

The connection was lost about 70 km from Sevastopol.

Former Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov tried to convince Musk to turn it back on, but was unsuccessful. The US government also was unsuccessful. All but two of the drones were lost.

Ukraine modified the drones after this allowing for the successful attack in October.
