Tournée Minerale? G’vine Floraison!
Hi guys, in Belgium the governement organizes an alcohol free month every year in February. And a lot of people participate in this. But not me!
I’m a restaurant owner, so if my guests only drink water and coca-cola it’s not really good for business. And since the governement is already killing gastronomy in Belgium, this little extra stunt is just too much. So i’ll drink to that!😉
Today i’m going for a Gin and Tonic. No @smasssh, no Jack and Coke today.
So my Gin for today is a G’vine floraison. A French Gin made with the “Ugni blanc” grape. You have the “Floraison” which means fructification. And you have the “Nouaison” which means flowering. So two different types both made with this “Ugni blanc” grape.
Anyway, i only have the green one today. The Floraison. And i prepare my glass with a lot of ice.
I add about 5 centilitre of Gin and for this one i’m going to use a Fever-Tree elderflower tonic. Which is a sweeter, less bitter Tonic.
Normally i should add some grapes as garnish but i’m hooked on Gin and Tonic but not on grapes. So for me just neat.👍
Well i must say this one just tastes like a good lemonade, a dangerous lemonade that is.
But for me 5⭐️‘s out of 5!

One great bunch of hypocrites those politicians. No alcohol, no smoking etc. pffff. And in the end, because less taxes come in, they raise taxes on other products or services to compensate the loss.

Not (yet) with the alcohol free month. But smoking, yes ofcourse. Last year they even spoke about banning smoking in your own backyard. Those f**kers all major in minor things.

For me, as being partly Belgian it is hard to see the government is making it difficult for restaurant owners like you to run your business! Water is for the fishies!
